Summer Criterium Series
- July 6
Great
racing tonight, we had very nice weather with a little tail wind on the
back stretch. Todd Strahm came out on top followed by Rocky
Crocker then myself, it was hard. Had a great time with the 7:00
"fun crit" too be sure to hang around for that and grab a bite to eat.

- July 13
More
mild July weather made for great racing. Rocky Crocker was able
to out sprint Mauro Felicio and Kelly Moore at the finish. Then
we had a fun Crit and ate food... all was well.

- July 20
We had a pretty jumpy group up front with numerous attacks early then things calmed down until the 2 lap bell when Todd Strahm
threw down one last big attack. Most of the group recovered for the
final sprint with Brandon Bartell taking the top spot (by a mile) then
Mauro Felizia, and Todd Strahm. And of course a great time was
had at the 7:00 fun crit. Thank you Sonia for the cherries.

- July 27
Carnage!
Way too much excitement tonight to fit in this space. An
early crash had everything in disarray, but in the end it was once
again Brandon Bartell followed by Rocky Crocker and Glen Steffler.
Wishing a speedy recovery for Garth and Dru, road rash is no fun.
See you all this Saturday the 31 at 5:00 pm for the Grand Finale!
Thank you Sonia for the cherries.

- July 31
Ephrata's
Summer Criterium Series brings together people of all age and skill
levels to ride, whether you are an experienced rider or
it's your first time. Every
Tuesday through the month of July we will meet at Grant County Public
Works for a "Criterium" bicycle ride around a 1 mile circuit.
There will be two divisions; at 6:00 pm a 45 minute "competitive"
crit and at 7:00 pm a 30 minute fun crit. We have a lot of fun
with these crits all ages and ability levels are welcome so grab
your bike and come on out for some fun in the sun!
6:00 pm will be a "Criteruim Training Series" where we will
simulate a race atmosphere.
This is a great opportunity to get a taste of racing on a weekly
basis without the pressure of a real race. Laps will be tracked
for bragging rights. Note: You do not have to be fast to ride at
6:00, just want a challenge. This is NOT a race! It is a
pretend race for training purposes. Crit length: 45 min.
7:00 pm will be a noncompetitive "stroll in the park" ride. This
is a leisure pace ride where ALL are welcome. We are not
tracking laps and neither should you, just ride your bike and enjoy
life! This is a great time to get the family together for a
social bike ride or invite a friend who may not be a cyclist.
Meet: at Grant County Public Works, 124 Enterprise SE.
Start Time: 6:00 pm "competitive" 7:00 pm Fun Crit.
Cost: "Competitive" Crit: $5 per ride/ $20 season pass, Fun Crit: Free, as always 18 and under Free!
Awards and prizes: BBQ potluck following the final
crit on Saturday July 31. All are welcome to attend.
Remember this is just for fun.
We want to get people on their bikes and having a good time,
don't take it
too serious, we don't.
Check back often, as results and pictures will be posted!
